The Great Skate benefits Inn from the Cold, an organization dedicated to helping families overcome obstacles that can lead to a cycle of homelessness. They provide three main programs: homelessness prevention and diversion, family shelter, and supportive housing.
Inn from the Cold, guided by their belief that every child and family should have a safe and stable place to call home, empowers independence and fosters resilience in families. They rely on the generosity of Calgarians to fund over 70% of their annual operations, supporting more than 2,500 family members and kids facing a housing crisis in our city. Community support and volunteerism highlight the importance of events like The Great Skate, which help raise funds and awareness for their essential work.
The event takes place at the University of Calgary’s Olympic Oval, Canada’s largest indoor skating surface, providing a fantastic opportunity to have fun while making a meaningful difference.
We invite you, along with your friends and family, to join us in supporting this important cause and enjoy a great time together!
Assemble your team members and captain to participate. Register as either a Company/organizational team or as an ‘Open’ team (build your own squad).
Once registered, participants can commence collecting donations for Inn From the Cold, to help end family homelessness.
